Robbie Godfrey - Lead Vocals, Guitar

Robbie was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. Robbie graduated from Brookville High School then went on to Randolph Macon College where he played football and graduated with a Business Economics degree. Shortly after graduating from college Robbie became a member of the United States Army.

Robbie is a fan of many types of music, however, he’s been most influenced by rock n roll. While stationed in Wonju, Korea, Robbie joined his first band.  Even though in previous bands he performed mostly country music he is most moved and gets the best crowd response with Rock n’ Roll. “I enjoy and consider it a privilege to entertain a crowd and make them forget the world while I'm on stage.”

Robbie uses a Telex microphone while performing. He also plays Schecter guitars through a Marshal amp.

 

Mike Keane - Drums

Mike was born and raised in New Jersey. Mike currently studies Business Management at Central Virginia Community College and runs the entertainment booking agency “On the Spot Bookings.”

Mike’s been playing music for more than 10 years and has played drums in several bands during that time. He is an excellent musician who also plays the guitar.  Mike’s playing style on the drums can be described as ferocious and heavy hitting. Mike is most influenced by drummers such as Keith Moon, Dave Abruzzees, Matt Cameron, and Danny Carey.

Mike plays Pearl drums with Zildjan cymbals and uses Pro Mark 747B drum sticks.

 

David Eubank - Bass, Vocals

David was born in Baltimore, Maryland but grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and was a classmate of Robie’s at Brookville High School.  David later attended Towson University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business E-Business from the University of Phoenix.

David was drawn to music at a young age and started taking drum lessons at the age of 11.  He later became passionate about playing the bass guitar and bought his first bass in 1988. Growing up in the 80’s, he was most influenced by bassists Nikki Sixx, Michael Anthony, and "Duff" McKagan. David has been with Out of Spite since 2007 and is one of the founding members of the band.

David plays Epiphone Thunderbird basses through a Hartke bass amp and Hartke bass cabinets.

Tommy Cox - Lead Guitar, Vocal

Tommy started playing guitar at age 10. His musical influences are The Beatles, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Angus Young, Jimmy Page, Warren Haynes, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani and a million others, but those guitarists had the greatest impact on him. Tommy teaches guitar at Lynchburg Music Center. Tommy has recorded several albums throughout the years. A few notables include, Tommy C. and The Blue Hounds (Blues In B-Town) The Managers (Get Down And Funk) Tommy C. (Nstrumental 1) Tommy Cox (God Inspired) and the current album Tommy Cox (Nstrumental 2).

Tommy plays an array of guitars including Gibson and Epiphone Les Pauls and several lines of Fender guitars. Tommy plays through Fender amps while performing live with Out of Spite.



“Big” Dave Davis

“Big” Dave is a graduate of Amherst High School and is employed at Billy Craft Honda in the IT department.

“Big” Dave is an experienced sound man who is also responsible for all of the stage lighting for live Out of Spite shows.  He is assisted by Joe Carpenter, who is the Out of Spite Equipment Tech. “Big” Dave also provides supporting vocals during live performances.
